Alan Morgan, M.D.

Dr. Alan Morgan is a board-certified internist and Fellow of the American College of Physicians (FACP) with extensive experience in patient-centered primary care and physician leadership. He earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Over the course of his career, he has practiced in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Since joining Carolina Internal Medicine Associates in 2019, Dr. Morgan has taken on increasing leadership responsibilities and has served as Chief Executive Officer since 2024. In this role, he oversees clinical operations across multiple locations while continuing to provide comprehensive outpatient care.

Originally from Winston-Salem, with family roots in Clyde, Dr. Morgan relocated to Asheville from Wilmington. He lives in the mountains with his wife and son, along with their two German Shepherds. Outside of his medical work, he enjoys hiking, fly fishing, playing golf, participating in church activities, and spending time with a good board game.
