Brian E. Edwards, M.D.

Dr. Brian Edwards relocated to Asheville from Baltimore, Maryland, with his wife and two children. He completed both medical school and residency at the University of Maryland, where he also served on the faculty for seven years before making the move.  He is board certified in Internal Medicine and previously Emergency Medicine.  He has been with Carolina Internal Medicine since 2021 after having worked at Mission Hospital for 5 years

He enjoys spending time with his family and their German Shorthaired Pointer, Myrtle.   He is a devoted coffee enthusiast which is an asset, given the energy required to keep up with his children’s many after-school activities and Myrtle.  He tries but is rarely successful in keeping up with his children on their gravel and mountain bikes.
